The craftsmen of Art Department Studio Babelsberg have been busy for the past 4 weeks putting together various exterior sets for the action-packed shoot. One large-scale outdoor scene of a parade in full swing with the characters of Schmidt & Co. promises to deliver laughs and exciting visual entertainment, a unique and layered background brought to life by the artisans and craftspeople of Art Department Studio Babelsberg.

The set construction crew has been working hand-in-hand with the stunt crew and special effects department to meet the extraordinary requirements of the intricate sets. The production design also heavily relies on Studio Babelsberg’s costume and props rentals.

After “Hexe Lili” and “Meine schöne Bescherung”, “Ausbilder Schmidt – Der Film” is the third German language feature film to include Studio Babelsberg as co-producer or service provider.

“We are extremely happy with the current development”, sais Christopher Fisser, Vice President Studio Babelsberg AG. “Finally, we have succeeded to fill the studio capacities with both big-budget international productions and highly attractive German projects at the same time.”
